I'm the guy who originally asked Gadspot for help.
You say you're the real Rufus but we have no proof of that, and if you've got the blame for somebody else's actions I'm sorry. You certainly don't write like him...
Can you explain to me how Gadspot's support section is so badly designed they cannot trace who replied? Can't see who sent the emails to my address?
It was somebody on support duty, they did send the right file so it wasn't just a reply to drop you in trouble or somebody's visiting 11 year old son. They also had complete control over all the posted contact email addresses for at least four days (I tried contacting several times to several addresses, none got through to anyone other than 'Rufus')
Since I blogged about those emails, I've been contacted by three other people in the CCTV industry who all claim appalling service from Gadspot, including a catalogue of errors not just in support but in shipping, accounts and fulfilling orders. For the UK partner company to step forward and announce that because they have no faith in Gadspot they have dissolved the partnership suggests a company in trouble.
So - if you are who you say and you have left Gadspot, you're well out of it. This company is appalling and is probably not going to be around much longer. If you're still working there, well, make sure you get paid...
If you're a faker, fair enough too. I have worked in front line tech support myself for six months, I have sympathy with all bobs and anything that brings a smile to what is a bad job has to be good.
